The airline through its affiliate, Allegiant Vacations, also provides attractive and affordable complete air and ground tour packages featuring hotel and vacation properties and attractions in its destination cities.

Allegiant Air, founded in 1997, is certificated by the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) as a "Scheduled Air Carrier." The airline has authority to fly scheduled and charter airline operations throughout the U.S as well as international authority for operations to Canada and Mexico.

Allegiant Air operates an all-jet fleet of MD-87 and MD-83 aircraft with scheduled flights linking Las Vegas with Fresno, CA , Colorado Springs, CO, Wichita, KS, Des Moines, IA, Lansing, MI , Fort Collins/Loveland, CO, Peoria, IL and starting May, 2004 Sioux Falls, SD (5/6), and Bismarck, ND (5/7) .
