The Airline


Maersk Air is part of the A.P. Moller - Maersk Group and commenced operation in 1970.

The Maersk Air Group employs about 1,200 people, and its fleet consists of 38 owned or leased aircraft for transport of passengers and freight.

The group is engaged in European scheduled airline services and charter airline operations. Other activities include aircraft leasing and purchase and sale of aircraft, air cargo sales agency and contracted aircraft operation for parcel carriers.

Together with the summer schedule 2004 (28 March) Maersk Air opened 12 new routes from Copenhagen to southern Europe. At the same time a totally new price concept was introduced, where the customer will experience greater flexibility and more influence on their journey. Maersk Air takes the best from all the competitor airlines and offers low prices, free choice of legroom, flexibility for all tickets as well as many direct routes from Copenhagen and Billund.

With this new move Maersk Air will have 18 routes out of Copenhagen and 12 routes from Billund and Aalborg.
